An update from your Women's Officer

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the term so far.

As your newly appointed Women's Executive Officer, I want to ensure I get the chance to engage with you and support you as best I can with your journey as a student at BNU. To kick this off, I'll be hosting my first Network Session in person at The Lounge and would love it if as many of you as possible could come along and say hi. This will take place on Wednesday 27 October, from 3-5pm and there'll also be free refreshments. I hope this session will give us all a chance to mingle, get to know each other, and also create friendships and bonds so that we can all support each other.

I'd also love to take this opportunity to chat to some of you guys about the campaign ideas I have for this term, including finding ways to collaborate with some of the other self-defining executive officers with fundraisers for relevant charities.

Following my network session, the Students’ Union will be hosting 'Girls Night Out'. This is a women’s only event to empower and support students in response to the national Girls Night In campaign. I will be there and the Students' Union will also be running extra Shh Busses throughout the night to make sure you get to and from The Lounge safely.

I hope to see as many of you on Wednesday as possible! If you have any questions or would like to contact me, you are more than welcome to via email suwomensofficer@bucks.ac.uk or reach out on any social media, including the Bucks Women's Network Group on Facebook.
