Welcome to Bucks New University Netball Club! We are a fun, friendly, and competitive club that allows for players of all abilities — whether you have never picked up a netball before or competed in home teams you are welcome here!
We have two teams that compete weekly in the BUCS netball league, with training sessions twice a week: two hours on Tuesdays with our amazing coach Louise (who was awarded Coach of The Year 2024/25), and a relaxed, sport-for-fun session on Thursdays. Matches are played every Wednesday — both home and away — and of course, our socials are a highlight of the week! From dressing up and themed nights out to sober socials, group meals, and volunteering together, there is something for everyone.
This past academic year (2024/25) has been one of the most successful in our club’s history. Our 1st team won their BUCS league, Varsity, and the South-Eastern Conference Finals cup, earning them the title of Team of the Year at the Athletic Union Awards. Leading the way was this year’s Chair, Holly Spittles, who captained the 1st team through their winning streak and was awarded Captain of the Year as a result.
The 2nd team also had an incredible season — their best in the last three years — and even held a draw at Varsity!
Joining our club gives you the chance to meet amazing people, improve your fitness, have fun, and be part of something really special at Bucks. Through our connection with the Students’ Union, you’ll also have access to a range of personal development and leadership opportunities.
Training takes place every Tuesday evening from 6–9pm at Kingsmead Netball Courts.
