It’s been quite the busy first term here with all of our member volunteering their time to give something back either on campus, with the community, or even in our offices as campaign support. Between Freshers' Fair and The Big Sleepout we have been busy ensuring our members have plenty of opportunities to get involved to give back to the community with volunteering.
This term, students have been clearing the old orchard at Booker common, replanting Trees at Lindengate, litter picking at the Rye and Brighton beach, visiting residents at Ryeview Manor care home, and packing parcels for the local One Can Trust foodbank.
Our Rugby team made over £70 taking headshot photos for RAG, and over 30 students braved the cold for The Big Sleep Out in November for Wycombe Homeless connection, all while fundraising over £2,200.
