Hi everyone, as you may know, we decided on changing how the structure and proceedings of Union Council works to ensure it's informative as well as engaging. We introduced a new system called the OWL to allow for a smoother experience for those attending online, it's now also made it's debut into some of our hybrid internal Union meetings.
We understand that the start times may be a bit early for some of our student’s so we are looking into this to see what suits best for our members as we want as many of you to attend to hear the ongoings of Bucks Student’s Union.
As promised in the previous Union Council (the first of the year) we would answer some of the questions you asked that we couldn’t quite answer straight away, so please see below.
You asked, we answered.
- Is there a way for sport for fun ambassadors to be involved with sport4RAG events planning?
Yes absolutely, please get in contact with daniel.lawrence@bnu.ac.uk for more information on this.
- Why is the Union Café only open till 4pm, can this be reviewed as there are some of us who would still like to eat after 4?
Tristan, CEO, is speaking with the University senior team to take back this feedback and we will ensure to update you as and when we know. It all comes down to funding and we need to ensure this is feasible.
- Any chance of having a wider selection of no alcohol/low alcohol drinks (like alcohol free ciders etc)
We are going to investigate this, it does fall down to supply and demand, but we are keen on providing an alcohol-free cider.
Our next Union Council isn’t too far away, Thursday 2 November in S3.01 with a 5pm start. We are still confirming the agenda but we will be continuing on with our question of the month, a discussion or speaker and the Elected Officer hotseat. We all hope to see you there.
