That's right. It's official. We're doing it. Is it too early? Who cares? It's CHRISTMAS time!
Christmas time is approaching and although some of you may think we should hold off until December 20 before even thinking about wrapping presents and spreading joy, we've firmly got our elf hats on and are ready to bring a little joy to those, for whom Christmas isn't always the easiest time of year - and we'd love if you could help us.
Each year we ask our students and staff to donate any items they can from the list below for us to be able to create Christmas hampers, and this year we need your help more than ever. These hampers are given out to our homeless community to support them during this cold and difficult time and this year we want to extend our hamper gifts to local residential homes. 2020 has been far from easy for so many and we want to spread as much Christmas joy as possible and support those who need it most!
If you can, please donate something from the list below and be a part of the reason why we make someone’s day a little bit brighter. If you have any donations, please drop them off at the Students’ Union office by Friday 27 November and state it is for the hampers.
We also ask our students to help out with the designs on the sustainable drawstring bags we use as stocking for our hampers. We use these bags to ensure they can be reused and if you would like to design a stocking for us, just ask for one at the Students' Union reception desk and pick up your own stocking designing pack. The pack will have 2 drawstring bags and fabric pens and will need to be returned to the office by Friday 27 November so we can pack them up with all your kind donations.
If you would like any more information on either the hampers or designing the stocking bags please email jade.collis@bucks.ac.uk
