Student Volunteer Week

Volunteering doesn’t need to be boring or uninteresting. We want to change the stigma attached to volunteering, that although it is unpaid you can learn so much about yourself, each other and the community.

We love to get Students involved in all our volunteering opportunities, from the small bracelets to planting trees.

Next week we are stepping it up for Student Volunteer Week, we have packed out the whole week with activities for everyone to get involved with.

Monday 10th

  • Dog Toys, these are donated to hearing dogs for Deaf People and Stokenchurch Dog Rescue

Tuesday 11th

  • Chiltern Rangers – Gomm Wood Day 1
  • Calico Dolls -these are sent to Epsom and St Helier Hospitals

Wednesday 12th

  • Postpals- these are letters and cards sent to children with terminal illness, or a life altering medical issue

Thursday 13th

  • Chiltern Rangers – Holtspur Meadow

Friday 14th

  • Chiltern Rangers – Gomm wood Day 2
  • Flower bombs

We also will be making Affirmation Cards; these are blank cards which students can write a positive message to another student. We will be running these all week.

These can then be picked up from the SU office.

If you can please mention Student Volunteer Week to the students you are interacting with each day. All activities can be found on the Students’ Union Whats on Page.
