Bucks Students’ Union announce partnership with Spirit Sport.
Here at Bucks Students’ Union, we're proud to announce we've partnered up with Spirit Sport.
Spirit Sports Equipment began in August of 2022 and is a company with a unique viewpoint, rather than just provide sports equipment, they decided to also support Mental Health. They believe not enough was being done to support the mental health of athletes within sport so would support mental health charities with a donation when an organisation puts through an order. Since they started, they've sold over 3000 items, worked with over 500 organised sports clubs, and have raised thousands of pounds for charities across the UK. Upon putting our order through, Spirit Sport made a donation in our name to Buckinghamshire Mind, a local charity who promotes wellbeing and recovery, and helps with mental health, offer talking therapies, and offer support in times of crisis. Buckinghamshire Mind is run by local people for local people and is responsible for its own funding and services it provides. This is a charity that the University has worked with for the last few years, for 8 weeks this year they were brought in, to provide additional support for students supplying a one-to-one listening service for up to four sessions.
Bobby Johnson, the founder of Spirit quoted “We are more than pleased to bring Bucks Students Union on board for the 24/25 season. After extensive talks, it became evident that our morals and values as two separate entities, aligned in numerous ways, making this partnership a perfect fit for all involved. We are very excited to build on this partnership hopefully for, many years to come!”
Spirits Sport will be supplying all our training and match balls to our four Men’s football teams and Women’s football teams for the upcoming season (2024/25).
