This morning to kick of Student Volunteering Week and Give it a Go 2.0, over 30 students took to the streets of Wycombe to give commuters something to smile about! They all set out to brighten the morning of the community with Faritrade breakfast snacks as a part of our annual Smile campaign.
Volunteers started off the campaign with a 7am start for the Smile campaign which aims to bring a little joy and positivity to the dreary Monday morning of the community with students handing out Fairtrade bananas and flapjacks alongside cups of hot tea and coffee which are also Fairtrade! Over 1,000 smiles were counted and hundreds of bananas anf flapjacks given out. This year our Fairtrade Ambassador, Eryn Anderson, set out to educate everyone a little bit more about Fairtrade and so every banana and flapjack included a Fairtrade fact.
