Deciding to run as Vice President of Education and Welfare was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Initially, I was hesitant to nominate myself, unsure if I could take on such a significant responsibility. However, stepping out of my comfort zone turned out to be a life-changing experience for me. Being elected as the first international and postgraduate student in this role was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and an achievement I will cherish forever.

This journey has given me the privilege of advocating for students, leading impactful campaigns, attending key panel meetings, and playing a vital role in shaping university policies. It has been incredibly rewarding to witness the positive impact of our work and to be recognised for the contributions we have made to student life. Beyond that, this role has helped me grow both personally and professionally, allowing me to develop invaluable leadership, decision-making, and communication skills. Most importantly, leaving a lasting impression and making a meaningful difference within the university is something I take great pride in.

From initially feeling unsure about nominating myself to becoming a strong advocate for students, this journey has been truly transformative. The immense support and guidance I received along the way continuously motivated me to take on the responsibilities of an elected officer. Without that encouragement, I might have missed out on this incredible opportunity. This experience has not only shaped my future but has also reinforced my passion for creating meaningful change. I will always be proud of the impact I was able to make.
