As we head in to the first weekend of November, let's take a moment to celebrate some brilliant members from the past month. Each month, we like to highlight the hardwork of some of our fantatstic members who have gone above and beyond, from student reps to sports clubs, we're excited to hear about all the wonderful things you've been getting up to.
Club of the month – This month it goes to Women’s Hockey, they have pushed through many challenges this month including injuries! Women’s hockey has really turned things around from last season and they are working together as one, with mainly wins and lot’s of volunteering hours we can’t wait to see what else they achieve.
Soceity of the month - Musical Theatre have already completed their volunteering hours required for their society accreditation through a variety of things such as Brighton Beach Clean, Theatre Shed and One Can Trust. They also ran a very successful Karaoke during freshers week. A well deserved society of the month.
Volunteer of the month - Arbaaz has been volunteering at Cancer Research and is also Sport for Fun Ambassador running the sessions for Badminton. He is the first person to receive the community volunteering bundle this year for 30 hours of volunteering in the community.
Rep of the month - Nasifa has made a fantastic start to her first year as the Student Rep for Law. Although only recently trained, she has demonstrated great initiative and passion to collate feedback for the Unions 'It Starts With You' campaign, making sure that student feedback is being shared at all levels within the Union.
