The 2024 results are in from the National Student Survey, a comprehensive survey which is undertaken by final-year students, and Bucks Students’ Union have consolidated our position in the top 3 of Students' Unions in the UK. For registered students, we rank first and for taught students, third. This consolidates our sector-leading position for eight consecutive years where we have placed in the top 5 in the league tables.
President of Bucks Students’ Union, Amy Pile, said: “We are thrilled with the latest NSS results, which reflect the hard work and dedication of our Students’ Union staff team. However, the real credit goes to our members who actively engage with us, making our efforts truly meaningful. Your participation and feedback are invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support. Let’s celebrate this achievement together, recognising the collective effort that has led to such outstanding results.
“I have no doubt that the inclusiveness, relevance, breadth and vibrancy of The Big Deal programme, which is so well supported by the institution, is at the core of our members high levels of satisfaction and we remain incredibly proud of our offer.
“I am also pleased to see the University continue to do well and look forward to working with them over the next 12 months and to build on some really good results.”
Chief Executive Officer of Bucks Students’ Union, Tristan Tipping, added: “As a Union, we are pleased that positivity around our services has been consistently amongst the highest in the sector. It’s a great reward for our dynamic, inspiring and tenacious team of staff and volunteers who work incredibly hard to drive levels of engagement and participation to unprecedented levels. We are constantly re-evaluating everything we do and are already building plans for an even more impactful year in 2024-25.”
Vice-Chancellor of Bucks New University (BNU), Professor Nick Braisby, said: “We are delighted that Bucks Students’ Union has continued to maintain its top-five position for the past eight years, an achievement in which the team can take great collective pride! This year, both the University and the Students’ Union were placed 1st among UK universities for registered students. This is testament to the significant funding the University provides to support the SU’s excellent work, including our award-winning joint response to the cost-of-living crisis.
“I’m sure that we will continue to do great things together in the year ahead and, on behalf of everyone at BNU, I wish Amy, Wren, Bethany and Harry all the very best in their new roles.”
