Bucks Tutorial Centres provide personalised tuition to children in the Chesham area. As Ofsted registered centres, we are committed to maintaining the highest educational and safeguarding standards. We are now looking for a Graduate Trainee Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the centre and ensure excellence in all areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tutoring: Provide high-quality tuition to students in a range of subjects.
  • Operations Management: Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the tuition centre, maintaining efficiency and organisation.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with parents and children, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns.
  • Lead Generation & Marketing: Generate new leads by engaging with the local community—distributing flyers, visiting schools, and speaking with parents at school gates. Promote the centre through various marketing initiatives.
  • Budgeting & Targets: Monitor performance against targets and manage the centre's budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that the tutoring standards are consistently high and that the centre is a welcoming and productive environment for students.
  • Tutor Management: Hire, manage, and support tutors, ensuring that they deliver lessons to a high standard.
  • Sales Process Management: Manage the sales funnel by inviting prospective clients for trial lessons, running these sessions, and following up to secure enrolment.

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification. This role may also suit a current university student.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience in tutoring or education is desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive attitude, particularly in engaging with the community.
  • Willingness to work weekday evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to manage budgets and meet targets.
  • Candidates must comply with safer recruitment processes, including providing references and undergoing an enhanced DBS check, in line with our Ofsted registration.

Working Hours:
This role is based on 20 to 25 hours per week, including weekday evenings and weekends, with opportunity for hours to increase as you grow your centre. The advertised salary is based on a 40-hour work week, so pay will be pro-rated accordingly.
