Let’s Play Project is a dedicated charity focused on providing fun and engaging activities for children aged 5-25 years with additional needs. Our mission is to create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive, make friends, and enjoy their after-school holidays and youth group activities. We are looking for a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Content Creator and Community Fundraiser.
Job Summary
As the Content Creator & Community Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in promoting our activities and events through engaging in social media content while actively seeking opportunities to raise funds within the community. You will help to increase our online presence, engage with our audience, and drive support for our initiatives that benefit children and young adults with additional needs.
1. Content Creation
1.1 Develop and implement a content strategy for our social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, to increase awareness and engagement.
1.2 Create high-quality, visually appealing content (images, videos, graphics, and written posts) that showcases our activities and the impact of our programs.
1.3 Capture and edit photos and videos during events, ensuring to highlight the joy and inclusivity of our activities.
1.4 Write compelling stories and testimonials from participants, families, and volunteers to share across platforms.
1.5 Monitor social media trends and adapt our strategies to remain relevant and engaging.
1.6 Keep shared files up to date and in line with GDPR guidelines.
2. Community Fundraising and Community Engagement
2.1 Identify and establish partnerships with local businesses, community groups, and individuals to support fundraising initiatives.
2.2 Plan, organize, and execute community fundraising events, including workshops, charity runs, and awareness campaigns.
2.3 Develop engaging promotional materials for fundraising events, including flyers, newsletters, and social media announcements.
2.4 Collaborate with the team to create fundraising goals and track progress toward achieving them.
2.5 Cultivate relationships with donors and sponsors, ensuring they are informed and engaged with our mission and impact.
2.6 Actively engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and friendly manner.
2.7 Encourage community involvement by promoting volunteer opportunities and encouraging participation in events.
2.8 Represent Let’s Play Project at community events, networking opportunities, and workshops.
3. Professional Development
4.1 Engage with your line manager in review meetings and input into target settings to ensure that you are happy with your Continuous Improvement Plan. Whilst self-evaluating your work and processes.
4.2 In conjunction with your line manager investigate, source and engage in training and development opportunities which benefit your role.
4.3 Maintain a professional working relationship with all team members whilst constructively raising issues if they arise.
4.4 Liaise with the Board of Trustees and provide honest and open feedback when requested

Pay: £15.50 per hour
