FAQs

It’s your introduction to University life featuring a jam-packed calendar of tours, events, sessions, and of course – Freshers Fair. Think of it as our welcome package to help you meet new people, learn more about your new home, and introduce you to all the amazing things on offer at Bucks Students’ Union.
Welcome Week is part of the first week of Freshers’ Fortnight and is organised by the University. Make sure you check out their website to find out what session the University will be hosting.
Nope! Unlike other universities, your Freshers’ wristband is completely FREE, thanks to The Big Deal and it'll get you in to ALL of our Freshers’ Fortnight events. You’ll be able to collect yours on campus when you arrive so keep an eye on our social media to find out where we’ll be!
As soon as you become a BNU student, you’ll automatically become a member of Bucks Students’ Union and have access to all of the amazing opportunities and events we have on offer, totally for free, even after Freshers' Fortnight is over.
That’s us! We’re here to make life better for students at Bucks and we’re fully independent from the University. We’ll support you with everything from academic representation and running a campaign, right through to joining a society and having a safe place to hang out in the evening.
Yes! Everything we do is inclusive for all students who are enrolled in a BNU course. This includes part-time, mature, international, post-graduate, and partner college students.
During freshers, there will be plenty of people around to help. Look out for our friendly freshers helpers who will be dressed in bright orange (you really can't miss them). They will be available to help you move into your new home, show you around and answer any questions, no matter how small. Have a specific question? Contact us at union@bucks.ac.uk.
