Overview

Greater public understanding of autism can benefit those affected by the disorder and their families. In light of this, we analyse the behavioural patterns and strategies that can enable you to understand autism patients better and manage their lifestyles. Finally, we explore the UK government’s policies on autism. This mental health course has no prerequisites and suits anyone who wishes to learn about ASD and wants to contribute to a more inclusive society for individuals living with autism. We begin by introducing you to ASD and exploring individual unique challenges facing those living with it. The course lays out the different types of autism, including Asperger's Syndrome, Rett Syndrome and more. We study the causes and symptoms of ASD and outline the treatments that can improve the social skills of autistic people. We explain how to communicate with people living with autism and discuss the cognitive style and functions of ASD.
