The School of Nursing and Midwifery are hosting a Black History Month Celebration in the Park Room in Uxbridge.

Black history is British history, British history is Black history, both are intrinsically linked. Slavery, industrialisation, colonialism, chieftancy, windrush and many more are poignant and significant historical events that shaped the economic, political and social trajectory of our history and indeed the present. 
Be inspired by hearing from speakers like the inspirational Roxanne Crosby-Nwaobi awarded Fellow of the Royal college of nursing, Nurse Researcher of the Year for the RCN Nursing Awards and Clinical Research and Education award winner at the Zenith Global Health Awards. Roxanne is an international inspirational speaker including a guest speaker for Yale Nursing school and observership. You will also hear from Kandace Chimbiri a renowned Black History children's author  and speaker Kandace Chimbiriwho has written books on the Windrush and story of Britain's Black nurses. 
Enjoy Afro Caribbean bites, music and Zumba. Yea man! Ahaa!
