Overview

Fancy being part of the best Halloween Event in Buckinghamshire?

Chiltern Open Air Museum are looking for volunteers to be part of their Halloween Spooky walk.

Spooky walk (based in the woodlands). Incorporates a graveyard scene of 35 headstones, ambient sound, lighting and smoke. It would be lovely to have a live actor/actors as gravediggers in this area. There will be an area of the walk with giant spiders lit up and an area with dressed mannequins hidden along the path with spooky ambient sounds (whispering). We will need live actors to be in along this route interacting with the visitors. Creative ideas welcome and no specific characterisation. There will be opportunities for spooks with the static mannequins vs live actors. The woodland provides coverage and hiding places in order to surprise

At the end of the spooky walk is Arborfield Barn. This will be decorated internally as a spooky maze – blood splattered strips of material and rope, haze machine and sounds. In the back of the barn will be a 7ft animatronic weir wolf. We need one or two actors to bring this scene alive. Could be a spooky Little Red Riding hood scenario or because of the blood stained maze inside – could be a little more macabre (but within the confines of our Disney 12+ suggested rating). These live actor/actors would need to encourage visitors to go inside the barn and follow the route to discover the weir wolf. We will included this in the same scare rating as the spooky walk.

You can be an actor, help out with costumes, or Make up.

This is accessible to all, however this is outdoors in a wooded area.
